its annoying me lately the way the government are using these phrases like they re the be all and end all!
its as annoying as people who "twitch" 2 fungers either side of their head when they want to say something in a sarcastic way!
the latest "target" is once again,,, SMOKERS!
http://www.shieldsgazette.com/news/Smoking-warnings-are-simply-shocking.4534811.jp
quite honestly they are forgetting one major thing.
the amount of TAX they are reaping from the smoker.
they moan on and on about the cost of treating a cancer patient and refuse them grugs to treat their condition.
hf you consider that a pack of 20 without TAX costs about £1,,,, then the other £4:50 goes straight into the taxmans pocket.
by the time a patients cancer has reached the point where it needs treatment, the patient has allready covered the cost of that treatment with the tax he paid.
its probably cost the taxpayer in excess of £500,000 to come up with the latest deterrent to smoking. i am of course speaking of the "rollong out" of pictures of cancers on cigarette packs.
why did it cost that much to come up with that idea?
cos a FUCKING "THINK TANK!" talked about it for an hour in the park!
what is a think tank?
EASY FUCKING MONEY!
the pictures will not deter the smokers.
the "written warnings" didnt do it!
the television campaigns didnt do it!
no one can convince smokers to give up!
but the government know that.
if everyone gave up, just think of the tax they wouldnt rake in!
as i see it, they have just 2 courses of action they can take.
first,,, reduce the tax on tobacco products accross the board!
second ,,, ban the sale of tobacco products completely!
reducing tax means they will sell more, and if its true that smoking kills, then everyone who smokes will die!
if they ban it, thats where it all ends.
as general members of the great british public,, we should "roll out" our complaints with regard to everything, and "target" the government with them!

There are Cabinet ministers who agree with his sentiments, The party machinery may be saying that there is nothing wrong, but they are either lying or in complete denial," the MP said.
the party line seems to be, "if they stand against me they will be fired!"
if thats the case, put the tories in now and lets stop pussyfooting around now!
Joan Ryan, the MP for Enfield North, was fired from her job as Brown's envoy to
Cyprus after she called for a "multiplicity" of senior party figures to stand against him.
time for a reshuffle?
RESHUFFLE: A bigger shake-up than originally planned could be in order if senior rebels need to be punished, while rivals may have to be placated. Some of his most senior Cabinet ministers are now virtually unsackable, however, as Mr Brown will not want his biggest threats to be ungagged and outside the government.
Clause 4B 2 of the Labour Party constitution, states "where there is no vacancy, nominations shall be sought each year prior to the annual session of the party conference." About 12 rebel MPs have requested that nomination papers should be sent out to all MPs, ahead of next week's party conference. But Labour's general secretary, Ray Collins, has not distributed them, saying the convention of the last 11 years is that they are only sent out to individual MPs upon request.
Insiders believe D-Day – Depose Day – will probably fall shortly after 6 November, the anticipated date of the Glenrothes by-election.
Diane Abbott, the left-wing Labour MP, said Cabinet ministers had told her they would move against Mr Brown if the by-election was lost.
In a further blow to Brown, his campaign chief in the up-coming Glenrothes by-election resigned, citing No 10 meddling.
the most unpopular Prime Minister since Chamberlain was deposed as war leader in 1940.
seems it could be the claim to fame that puts him in the record books!
Replying to a question-and-answer session in which his leadership was raised, Brown said: "The eyes of the country are upon us, and the people of this country want us to address their concerns."
OKAY Mr BROWN,,, HERE IS MY CONCERN, AND YES I AM SHOUTING,,, I AM CONCERNED THAT YOU WILL DESTROY THIS COUNTRY AND ANY REPUTATION IT MAY HAVE LEFT,, SO CAN YOU PLEASE FUCK OFF NOW AND HAND OVER TO SOMEONE WHO CAN DO THE JOB?
I WOULD PERSONALLY SUGEST THAT YOU HAND OVER TO Mr CAMERON AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
I HAVE BEEN A LABOUR SUPPORTER AND VOTER ALL MY ADULT LIFE.
I AM NOW APPROACHING 50 AND I HAVE HAD ENOUGH.
I WILL NOT JUST "STAY AWAY" FROM THE VOTING STATION.
LIKE MANY OTHERS, I WILL NOW CAST MY VOTE FOR THE CONSERATIVE PARTY.
THANKS TO Mr BROWN, THE LABOUR PARTY IS NO LONGER PARLIAMENTARY MATERIAL.
THE WHIPS ARE LIMP AND THE MPs ARE WIMPS.
NEVER HAS THERE BEEN A MORE UNPOPULAR LEADER!
EVEN Mrs THATCHER WAS A BETTER BET THAN BROWN, AND SHE WAS BAD!
Mr BLAIR HAD MY VOTE.
I BACKED ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING HE DID BECAUSE HE DID IT WITH CONVICTION.
HE WAS NOT WORRIED WHAT PEOPLE MIGHT THINK.
HE DID NOT HIDE AWAY FROM IMPORTANT ISSUES.
HE WAS A MAN OF THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE.
GO AWAY Mr BROWN!

This Could Be WORSE than we Originally Thought! BUT! Help Could Be at Hand!
All the Hoo Haa about Labour, Brown, And Everything to do with it is a little UNDERSTATED to say the least!
The facts,, Labour swept to power with Mr Tony Blair at the helm.
They delivered what they promised in many aspects of their manifesto, or whatever you want to call it.
Mr Blair proved he was NO PUSSY when it came time to commit troops to iraq!
He rode the tidal wave of critisism for many months.
In the background, there were some MP'S in his party who Sympathised with the protestors of the Iraq conflict.
Those MP's tried to have him Pressured into giving up his place in the party.
BUT,,,, like a true Labour party leader, he stood his ground!
He would leave when he was ready, not when he was told to by Party Misfits!
Eventually, he had to comply with requests for his "stepping down" from office.
ENTER,,, GORDON THE MORON!
With Grin and The Air all Sucked In,,, he came to "power?" and commenced to "lead?" the country!
Well,, lead us he did, right into disaster!
Mr Blair knew this would happen, and sat in the wings looking on as Gordon the moron did his worst!
Poll after Poll was taken and covered all subjects,, EXCEPT ONE!
Now that poll has finally been taken!
LINK>>>>> http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/news-feed/2008/09/06/voters-want-blair-back-86908-20725732/ <<<It had to be said!
Mr Blair knew it would be said.
I knew it would be said!
Gordon the moron knew it would be said!
David Cameron knew it would be said!
But i feel that it comes too late!
The damage has now been done!
If Mr Blair came back tomorrow, i think he could save, reunite, and restore the reputation of the labour party,,, but its TOO LATE to win an electio this time!
So,, whats the way forward?
Easy,,, Let them OUST Brown!
Bring back with FULL honours Mr Blair as LEADER of the party.
Let the Conservative party win a general election.
Let the Conservatives put the country back on an even keel.
Then Retake the country for Labour.
Once labour are back in power, let Mr Blair restore this country's reputation as a world leader in most fields and watch the economy grow.
once Mr Blair has then had enough, let HIM decide who can take over once he is ready to step down properly.
Trust Mr Blairs judgement in ALL things, and we may never need another conservaative government again!
We all know it makes perfect sense.
It was CLASSIC MADNESS to allow a Fat Ageing Baboon with a lung problem to take over the party,,, but it was a BIG mistake by the MISFITS of the party to allow brown to have the keys of office!
Lets hope they learn from this experience!
